Kaleidoscope

Traditional Wooden Jigsaw Puzzle

Traditional puzzles start with the finest art available. They are often crafted with an irregular edge that will vary depending on the size of the puzzle. You may request names and dates to be crafted into your puzzle. We will also fill your Traditional puzzle with charming, clever, and elegant figure shapes (called silhouettes) according to your wishes. Think outside the puzzle box – silhouette shapes can include logos, people in action, a specific car type, or animal breed. OR leave it to the Stave artisan to play on the puzzle image and totally surprise you! The number of custom pieces depends on the size of your puzzle. The larger the puzzle, the more special pieces you can request. You'll also discover special cutting features within the puzzle designed to surprise, confound, and delight you!

Ouch!

Ouch-exquisite misery! I like my puzzles to be hard but this set a new standard! Who kicked over the fire ant mound? This was a really tough puzzle -- early on I started questioning how the three rosettes were going to fit together, as well as what I was going to do with all those edge pieces. Eventually I think I have everything put together, but the pattern is so busy and the differences in interlocks so subtle that it was truly a matter of trial and error to see which of the similar pieces fit where. Now I want to know who decided it was fair to make a triple layer cake out of my kaleidoscope -- at least that is the only way I can figure to put the separate sections together. When the light comes in just right I hope I'll be able to find the interacting silhouettes, etc.
