I had never seen one of these before. What do you think it is?

Take a close look at Puzzling Photo #2 and you’ll see wing tip impressions in the snow. I think this means that a hawk swooped down and grabbed whatever was running through the snow. We have a Coopers Hawk that uses our backyard bird feeders as its fast food outlet.
